Marriage14 February 1906 On 14 February 1906, three months after her husband's death, and calling herself Ethel Crissup, she married a second time to Clarence E. Groves, son of Edward E. Groves and Dora C. Downs, in Monticello, Piatt County, Illinois. They both lived in Bement, Piatt County, and both reported the marriage to be their first, however Ethel had been widowed by her first husband and had three young daughters. Clarence was 23 years of age, had been born in Indiana, and worked as a fireman. Ethel was 25 years of age and had been born in Illinois.3,10,11 
DivorceMary and Clarence separated, and probably divorced, relatively soon after their marriage. Clarence's troubles of crimes and punishments, beginning in 1908 and continuing into 1909, were again being reported in Huntington County newspapers.12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22

Mary was 37 years of age and was recorded as married with no occupation. She was recorded by the census taker as Marie E. "Duckworth", which was later corrected to Marie E. "Hulce" by an Ancestry user. Her relationship to Charles Hulce was 'Stepdaughter."27 
Marriage29 May 1922She married fifth, as his second wife, Andrew Morris, son of Archelions Morris and Julia Graham, on 29 May 1922 in Marion County, Indiana.25 
Census US 19302 April 1930Mary E. and Andrew Morris were enumerated on the 1930 census taken on 2 April 1930 at 520 North Noble Street, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. Andrew was 35 years of age, a veteran of World War I, and worked as a taxi cab chauffer, and Mary was 48 years of age. Andrew had been 20 years old when he married his first wife in about 1915, and Mary had been 14 years old when she married her first husband in 1896. They rented their house, which was not on a farm, for $14 per month and did not own a radio. Two children were enumerated with them in 1930, both recorded with the surname Morris. Dellazine was 12 years old and Frank was age 8. Both had attended school within the census year. A lodger, James Copeland, was also with the family in 1930. Everyone in the Morris household, except young Frank, was recorded as able to read, write and to speak English.28 
Divorce*Mary L. Morris and Andrew Morris separated, and were likely divorced, as the both married again. Mary Louise in 1936, and Andrew in 1944.29,30 
Marriage16 May 1936She married sixth, as his third wife, Otis Uptgraft, son of George Uptgraft and Adaline Harper, on 16 May 1936 in Wells County, Indiana.29,31 
Census US 1940*23 April 1940Mary and Charles O. Uptgraft were enumerated on the 1940 census taken on 23 April 1940 in Nottingham, Wells County, Indiana. Charles was 75 years of age and a farmer working on his own account, and Mary was 55 years of age and doing her own housework. Charles had completed his education through the 6th grade of elementary school, and Mary had completed her education through the 7th grade. On April 1, 1935, Charles had lived in the same house, and Mary had lived in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.32 
(Mother) Marriage22 June 1941She attended the wedding of her daughter, Mae Sayre, when she married Marvin Prather on Sunday afternoon, 22 June 1941, in Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana. The Kokomo Tribune published a long and detailed article about the couple's wedding, which was performed at 317 East Hoffer, Kokomo, the home of Mae's sister and brother-in-law, Alean and Clarence R. Cornwell, with Alean attending her sister as matron of honor, and Clarence as best man. Mae's mother and stepfather, Mary L. and Otis Uptgraft, and Marvin's widowed mother, Iva A. Prather, were in attendance, as were other members of Marvin's family and Mae's other sister and brother-in-Law, Anna and Thomas E. Griffin, who lived in Indianapolis. The newlyweds were planning to live "for the present" at 317 East Hoffer with Alean and Clarence Cornwell.33,34,35 
(Wife) Death16 December 1951Mary became a widow when Charles Otis Uptgraft died on 16 December 1951 at age 86.36 
Death*26 June 1959She died of colon cancer on 26 June 1959 in her home at 315 N. Pine Street, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, at age 776,37

Dispute*24 February 1755Mention was made in the minutes of Chester Monthly Meeting on 24 February 1755 that a difference existed between Isaac Weaver and William Pennell Jr., husbands of Sarah (Dell) Weaver and Mary (Dell) Pennell, on the one part, and Thomas Swayne, their wives' 1st cousin, on the other part, that Chester Meeting had been unable to resolve. Although Thomas did not want to refer the matter to arbitrators, it was decided on 28 April 1755 to allow him two more weeks to do so. "But if Thomas Swayne refuse or neglect to appoint men and enter into Bonds, longer than two weeks, Then this meeting gives liberty to William Pennell and Isaac Weaver to proceed to the tryal of the case by Law, as they may be advised, But withall requires the friends so concerned to behave towards each other as friends, and in the moderation becoming Brethren proceed in the case to the last."8

Description*He was a large man, described as being physically imposing at 6 feet, 4 inches in height, and weighing about 240 pounds. His posture was very erect, and he had great physical strength. His appearance was handsome, stately and dignified.5,4 
Occupation*While still a young man, Isaac taught school in Philadelphia, his future wife, Abigail Price, being one of his pupils.4 
Revolutionary War*He mustered into the militia before the Revolutionary War and served as a Captain in the Chester County militia during the war.5,4

Political Service*Isaac Weaver was a prominent figure in Pennsylvania politics. He earned a seat in the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives from 1797 to 1803, serving as Speaker from 1800 through 1802. He became state treasurer from 1803 to 1806, effectively "putting its (the treasury's) affairs into order" after years of mismanagement and, as Treasurer, personally carried money from Lancaster to the City of Washington on horseback. He was elected to the state Senate, representing the district composed of Washington and Greene counties, in 1808, and served as Speaker from 1816 through 1820. He was an unsuccessful candidate for the U.S. Senate in 1819, and was twice named a convention choice for governor.5,7,4
