Rogers, who may have been named after his father; and, although 1811 may have been early if their first child wasn't conceived until 1823, there may have been earlier children that were deceased or adults and on their own by the 1850 census.

(Stepfather) Marriage22 June 1941He attended the wedding of his stepdaughter, Mae Sayre, when she married Marvin Prather on Sunday afternoon, 22 June 1941, in Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana. The Kokomo Tribune published a long and detailed article about the couple's wedding, which was performed at 317 East Hoffer, Kokomo, the home of Mae's sister and brother-in-law, Alean and Clarence R. Cornwell, with Alean attending her sister as matron of honor, and Clarence as best man. Mae's mother and stepfather, Mary L. and Otis Uptgraft, and Marvin's widowed mother, Iva A.
