Eva's two older children were actually the biological daughters of Moses and his first wife. Our research indicates, however, that everyone in the family, including Eva, accepted and welcomed his daughters as Eva's own. The girls, Bessie and Mertie, were ages 12 and 10 years, respectively, and had both attended school for seven months of the census year. The couple's sons, Emmett and Herbert, were ages 6 and 1, respectively. Albert C. Malory, age 60, was also enumerated with the Roberson family in 1900. He was recorded as a servant, and worked as a day laborer.7 
Census US 1920*24 January 1920Eva and Moses Roberson were enumerated on the 1920 census taken on 24 January 1920 in Swink, Otero County, Colorado. Moses was 56 years of age and no longer working, and Eva was 54 years of age. They rented their home, which was on a farm. Both of their sons, Herbert and Emmett, worked as farm laborers for wages. Herbert was single, and 27 years of age; Emmett was married, 25 years of age, and was enumerated with his wife, Julia B. (Sawyer) Roberson, who was 21 years of age.6
